U.S. Army Depot

MARCOR was contracted by a consulting firm to perform lead-containing ceiling demolition at Fort Douglas, Utah. The total area to be demolished included 22,000 square ft. of plaster ceiling. The scope of work was to clean and remove the lights, which would be reused; clean, remove, and dispose of ceiling grid; and demolish, then dispose of the plaster ceiling (lead was present in the plaster as well as the paint). First- and second-floor debris was loaded out through the construction of fully contained waste chutes. Negative pressure was maintained inside of the chutes to aid in dust suppression.
