MARCOR Launches Newly Redesigned Website
Users can more easily navigate expanded, updated site
5/30/2003–Hunt Valley, MD–MARCOR Remediation, one of the nation's leading environmental contracting companies, has launched its newly redesigned Web site - www.marcor.com - with upgrades that include a more user-friendly navigation system, expanded content on environmental concerns, and superior graphics.
"We recognize that our customers and others interested in MARCOR want to make the best use of their time when they are on the Web," said Joan Blazucki, director of corporate communication for MARCOR. "Our new, dynamic Web site now delivers information more comprehensively, faster, and in a more attractive format."
The new site incorporates two ways to navigate, with choices listed across the top of the page, as well as a "compass" that shows where the visitor is and has been within the site's information architecture. With the new Web site upgrade in place, users can move more swiftly from topic to topic, and can use the Power Search option to find specific information that may appear deep within the site's content.
Another new addition to www.marcor.com is a Press Room for members of the media, which presents all current and past news about the company. A new, password-protected Customer Satisfaction Survey has been included, as well, which enables current customers to post their survey responses about MARCOR's project performance in a more convenient format. (A paper-based version continues to be available, as well.)
The new Community Center posts information about seminars, outreach programs, and events geared toward educating individuals and business owners about environmental concerns.
"People will notice the quality and difference in our redesigned Web site immediately," Blazucki said. "Data are more easily, clearly, and comprehensively presented, just as today's more savvy computer users expect. And we plan on making further improvements in the Web site to keep visitors returning again and again."
