MARCOR Remediation, Inc., the nation's first licensed asbestos abatement contractor, today performs a full range of environmental contracting services. These include industrial cleaning, lead hazard abatement, mold remediation, plant/process decommissioning and demolition, soil and groundwater remediation, disaster recovery, gun range remediation, storage tank management, hazadous coatings removal and much more....
Our clients include environmental consultants, government agencies, property management firms, industrial hygienists, the hospitality industry, educational institutions, health care facilities, various commercial and industrial clients and many others. Our offices are staffed with senior technical managers, regulatory compliance experts, business development managers, administrative personnel and an experienced HAZMAT labor force.
Due to our continued growth, we are searching for an experienced Health and Safety Manager for the San Francisco East Bay(Dublin) area. The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for the overall health and safety performance of various remedial construction projects and emergency response actions. Duties include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Job site inspections at our various projects nationwide (QA/QC & Loss Control)
- Workers compensation carrier interface
- Supporting operations on regulatory issues including OSHA interpretations, local NOV interface and negotiations
- Perform incident investigations
- Support efforts in writing site specific HASPs
- Provide safety training and oversight of outside training facilities
- Monitor H & S performance for site subcontracts
- Air monitoring, record-keeping, medical surveillance, respiratory protection, and fit testing
- Providing support, guidance, and design input for corporate safety compliance programs
- Work plan and proposal support as required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of H & S regulations and requirements in the environmental construction industry
- Well organized and effective communicator
- College degree in environmental management or similar preferred
- 3-4 years experience in H & S on environmental or construction projects
- Good technical writing skills
- Travel required
- CSP preferred
- CET helpful but not required
Compensation/Benefits
Negotiable depending on experience.
