Soil Vapor Extraction and Destruction Systems for Remediation of Hydrocarbons
- We are fully insured.
- Our personnel are highly trained and OSHA certified.
- We can obtain state and local permits for our customers.
Standard and Custom Soil Remediation Services
MARCOR provides effectual extraction and clean destruction of hydrocarbons for in-situ and ex-situ soil remediation and for the removal of volatile compounds in vapor form. Soil vapor extraction can be combined with air sparging for inherent volatilization of contaminants. We offer standard and custom systems.
VR System: Quick Response, Cost-effective Operation, and Efficient Service.
The self-contained VR unit provides a synergistic combination which uses the hydrocarbon vapors being removed as fuel for processing. After initial start-up and a short operating time, the flow of supplemental fuel may be eliminated. An on-board computer controls the rest.
Combining state-of-the-art technology with proven field success, our mobile VR System can be operational within the hour. We can efficiently remove up to 55 pounds per hour of gasoline or other hydrocarbons with a remarkable total destruction rate in excess of 99%. The computer-controlled internal combustion engine can reach 18' Hg vacuum with a maximum flow rate of 250 cfm.
The VR System is not limited by an upper concentration limit. At low concentrations, supplemental fuel is provided by propane or natural gas. At higher levels, the unit requires no outside power supply aside from air intake. Above 0.3 pounds per hour, the unit is more cost effective than activated carbon. The system is ideal for cost-effective remediation projects and air permit compliance as well as short-term vapor extraction pilot tests and tank de-gassing.
Catalytic and Thermal Oxidizers for Dependable, Long-term Remediation
Units may be trailer-mounted for ease of transport or installed on site for long-term use, above.
Portable thermal and catalytic oxidizers offer in-situ containment vapor extraction and thermal destruction. These completely automated systems can offer simple, unattended operation with minimal maintenance. Usually used for full-scale applications, they often replace or follow temporary VR Systems, used for shorter term pilot tests.
Additional Services
We offer the full range of remediation contracting services to cover all your environmental concerns.
MARCOR can also provide trench drilling, operation and maintenance services, and accelerated site assessments utilizing direct-push sampling.
